IMPORTANT NOTICE

Dear nominators,

The Web3 Foundation has decided to end the Decentralized Nodes Program. The current cohort (Cohort 3) will run until 13 January 2026. From that point on, the W3F will gradually withdraw its nominations for the participants of the program.

What does this mean in practice?

From 13 January 2026, our two validators VFDA and VFDB may become inactive at any time, as the W3F nominations will cease and we may no longer have sufficient stake to remain in the active set.

Our recommendation:

We strongly recommend that you shift your nominations to another reputable and reliable validator from 12 January 2026 onwards.

We deeply regret that our nodes were unable to build up sufficient organic stake during the time in the Decentralized Nodes Program to become independent. Despite our efforts to ensure optimal performance, reliability, and in-depth referendum analyses, this was not enough.
